Who Is Paranormal Performance?
Paranormal Performance started as a family-run performance workshop in Gladstone, building and tuning high-powered street and race cars.
Over the past five years, we’ve grown into a trusted name in the region, known for quality workmanship, premium equipment, and a no-shortcuts approach.
Paranormal Towing & Transport is our newest venture — born from the same obsession with doing things right. We saw the need for reliable, professional transport that matched the standard we expect for our own projects and customers’ cars.

2019
FOUNDING OF PARANORMAL PERFORMANCE.
The beginning of 2019 marked the start of Paranormal Performance — what was then just a small, driveway-based performance workshop. We started out with basic servicing, mobile breakdowns, and eventually larger labour-hire opportunities. That first year set the tone for what Paranormal would become: a business built on hard work, adaptability, and a drive to grow.
2020
In 2020, after overcoming the challenges that came with COVID-19, we spent some time working out of a tiny single-bay workshop before finally pulling things together enough to move into our current location. It wasn’t easy — we even sub-let some of our extra space to other small businesses just to keep the lights on — but it taught us resilience and kept Paranormal Performance alive through one of the toughest periods for small business.
This was also the year our youngest team member joined the crew — my son Bjoern — throwing a real spanner in the mix and reminding us what all the hard work is really for.
2021-2024
TOOLING UP
Having our new space was exciting — but at first, it felt pretty empty with just a single two-post hoist. These were the years we focused on tooling up and turning the workshop into something real. We put our energy into hiring staff we could trust and supporting them — if they asked for new equipment, we found a way to get it. In many ways, we let our team “decorate” the business, shaping the workshop into a place they were proud to work in.
2021 was also the year we purchased our dyno — one of the scariest investments I’ve ever made, but a crucial step in building the kind of performance workshop we’d always envisioned. That decision turned Paranormal Performance from a good workshop into a true performance hub.
2024-2025
REDEFINED AND EXPANSION
With the workshop finally equipped and running smoothly, I felt an itch for more — more clarity, more internal support, and less reliance on outside companies. We promoted our Head Technician into a Workshop Manager role, which allowed me to step back from the day-to-day running of the shop and focus on what really grows a business: customer relationships, marketing, and new opportunities.
The first step was expanding into air conditioning and auto electrical. We found the right staff, invested in the right equipment, and launched a new trading name under the Paranormal Group: Paranormal Mechanical & Auto Electrical.
But we didn’t stop there. After countless days waiting on outside tilt trays — and feeling the need for one ourselves — we took another leap of faith and invested in our own transport capability. That’s how Paranormal Towing & Transport was born: a natural extension of our commitment to providing a complete, professional service for our customers.
2025-
THE ROAD AHEAD.
The future for Paranormal isn’t about moving mountains or reinventing the wheel.
Our goal is simple: to provide a comfortable, professional environment that leaves no doubt — when the Paranormal team is on the job, you get your money’s worth. And it always comes with a side of respect, clarity, and pride.
We are proud of who we are and the work we deliver. We take pride in our clients’ passion to build, transport, and maintain their projects — whether it’s a 1,000hp race car on our dyno or a shipping container full of who-knows-what being transported across country.
